Oiler Lubrication
9.4.1 Filling the oiler (if supplied)
Tilt the oiler bowl (638)
Fill the oiler bowl with oil
Release the bowl so that it returns to vertical position
Is the oil level sufficient?
Top up the bowl if the oil level is too low
WARNING — Never fill the bearing bracket with oil through the connection in the oiler

Ensure the following pre-start conditions are met
Is the suction pipe filled and foot valve working properly?
Verify motor and pump conditions
Is the liquid temperature maintained to prevent crystallization or solidification?
Check auxiliary connections
Is the oil level adequate for pumps with oil lubricated bearing bracket?
5.2 Mechanical seal
Are the operating and functional parameters of the mechanical seal followed as per Data Sheet?
Initial Pump-Motor Alignment Check
Checking alignment
Check alignment before commissioning or after maintenance
Ensure motor is stopped and in safety before checking alignment
Tools needed for alignment
Leave pump in position and move motor for alignment
Loosen bolts of motor feet for motors fixed directly to the base
Loosen bolts securing motor plate for motors fixed on an adjustable plate
Block motor by tightening bolts after satisfactory alignment
Align pump-motor unit in all directions
Initial 300 Hours Oil Change

Check the current oil level using the 'spy' cap
Is the oil level at the center of the warning light?
Drain the old oil from the pump
Select the lubricant brand used for refilling
Refill with 300 gr of lubricant for the 1st bracket
Refill with 900 gr of lubricant for the 2nd bracket
Verify the oil level is correct after refilling
