Ensure operating and functional parameters of the mechanical seal are followed as per Data Sheet

Ensure the following safety measures are taken before starting maintenance
8.2.1 Volute casing assembly

If removing the entire pump
Remove the spacer coupling
Remove the fastening screws of the suction and delivery flanges
Loosen the fastening screws of the lantern basement and the feet of the pump
If leaving the volute casing connected
