Store the pump in a covered and dry location

Keep the pump in its original packaging

Ensure protection caps and lids of the flanges remain on the pump until installation

Is the pump stored for a long period or in severe weather conditions?

If yes, take additional protective measures

Record the current bearing bracket temperature

Is the bearing bracket temperature between 70°C and 80°C?

Ensure the lubricant used has a viscosity of 46Cst

Verify application limits and room temperature

Monitor the bearing temperature for pumps in explosive environments

Describe any excessive temperature increases observed

Ensure the following conditions are met before starting the pump

Is the suction pipe filled and the foot valve working properly to prevent backflow?

Does the motor turn in the same direction as the arrow shown on the pump?

Does the motor fan turn clockwise?

Check that the motor rotates freely by hand

Is the liquid kept at the required temperature to prevent crystallization or solidification?

Ensure auxiliary connections are connected and working

Is the flushing liquid pressure in compliance with the seal manual?

Check alignment before commissioning or after maintenance

Ensure motor is stopped and in safety before checking alignment

Leave the pump in its position and only move the motor?

Loosen the bolts of the motor feet if fixed directly to the base

Loosen the bolts securing the motor plate to the threaded columns if fixed on an adjustable plate

9.4.1 Filling the oiler (if supplied)

Release the bowl so that it returns to vertical position

Top up the bowl if the oil level is too low

Ensure the bearing bracket is not filled with oil through the connection in the oiler
