10 Hourly / 1 Daily Off-Highway Truck Maintenance

1. Steering tank: The steering tank is located on the right platform. Check the steering system oil level at the sight gauge on the side of the tank.

2. Walk-around inspection: Make a thorough walk-around inspection of the entire truck. Inspect under and around the machine for leaks, loose or missing bolts, trash buildup, broken lights or low tire pressure.

3. Radiator cap: The coolant level can be checked by removing the radiator cap

4. Top of radiator: The coolant level can be checked by removing the radiator cap

5. Parking/secondary brake reservoir: The parking/secondary brake air reservoir is located in a compartment behind the cab. The drain valve for draining the moisture from the parking/secondary brake reservoir is located on the right rear corner of the cab.

The service/retarder brake reservoirs are located on top of the hydraulic tanks on the left side of the truck. The drain valve for draining the moisture from the service/retarder brake reservoirs is located behind a small door on the reservoir cover.

6. Fuel Tank: The fuel tank is located on the right side of the truck. The fuel level can be checked at the fuel level gauge. When changing fuel filters, turn the fuel off with the shutoff valve. Drain moisture from the tank by opening the drain valve.
