Pre-Operation Inspection Responsibilities

Operator is responsible for pre-operation inspection and routine maintenance.

Perform visual inspection daily before each work shift.

Use inspection to confirm if routine maintenance is required.

Pre-Operation Inspection Process

Ensure the manual is complete, legible, and stored in the manual box on the platform.

Ensure all labels are clear, readable, and appropriately placed.

Check for hydraulic oil leakage and proper oil level.

Check for battery fluid leakage and suitable liquid level. Add distilled water if required.

Press the lift function button and check if the indicator lamp lights up.

Press and hold the enable switch to lift the platform to the specified height.

Are the pothole guards deployed?

Press the drive function selector button and check if the indicator light lights up.

Press the enable switch on the control handle and move the control handle fully forward.

Record the drive speed of the platform when elevated.

Is the drive speed of the platform 0.5mph (0.8km/h) or less when elevated?

Ensure the charger wiring is secure and not corroded

Ensure the battery posts are secure and not corroded

Check the battery is secure and not damaged

Check that all buttons/switches on the PCU panel function normally

Ensure the PCU emergency stop switch is secure

Check if all switches operate properly

Pull the Emergency Stop Switch out to the 'ON' position

Push the Enable Switch and activate a function

Did the horn sound as expected?

Describe any issues encountered during the test

Pull out the red emergency stop buttons on the platform controller to the ON position

Pull out the red emergency stop buttons on the ground controller to the ON position

Turn the key switch to the ground controller position

Observe the LED display on the platform controller for the proper reading

Is the LED display showing the correct reading?
