Ensure cleaning solutions are non-corrosive and compatible with evaporator materials

Select appropriate cleaning solution based on coil material

Is a high pressure washer required for cleaning?

Ensure spray pressure does not exceed 1500 psig if using high pressure washer

Maintain a minimum distance of 12 inches from the coil with the spray wand

Use a 25 degree or wider spray nozzle

Direct nozzle spray perpendicular to the coil face area

Visually inspect evaporator components

Inspect evaporator for excessive ice buildup and witness defrost cycle

Ensure all drain lines are clear of debris for proper draining

Check and adjust fan belt tension where applicable

Cabinet and External Parts Inspection

Inspect cabinet and external parts for issues

Check installed protective barriers, mounting bolts and supports

Evaporator and Drain Pan Inspection

Inspect evaporator for dirt, debris or obstructions

Inspect drain pan for dirt, debris or obstructions

Fasteners and Electrical Wiring Inspection

Inspect evaporator fasteners for integrity

Inspect electrical wiring to ensure it is intact
