DANGER — Excessive Temperatures

Acknowledge the danger of excessive temperatures and explosion hazards due to hot bearings or defective seals.

Regularly check the condition of the lubricant.

Confirm the first oil change after 300 operating hours for the following temperature ranges

Verify the oil quality according to the following specifications

Removing the mechanical seal - cylindrical casing cover

Ensure preliminary steps are completed

Unscrew hexagon nuts 920.02 and push back seal cover 471 (if fitted)

Unscrew hexagon nuts 920.04, if any

Remove casing cover 161 from bearing bracket 330

Pull complete mechanical seal 433 with shaft protecting sleeve 524.01, seal cover 471 and thrower 507.01 off shaft 210

Removing the mechanical seal - conical casing cover

Ensure preliminary steps are completed

Pull shaft sleeve 524.01 with the rotating assembly of mechanical seal 433 off the shaft

Observe and carry out notes and steps from Section 7.4.1 to Section 7.4.4

Ensure the back pull-out unit is in a clean and level assembly area

Undo impeller nut 922 (right-hand thread)

Remove impeller 230 using an impeller removal device

Place impeller 230 on a clean and level surface

Remove keys 940.01 from shaft 210

Remove and dispose of joint rings 411.31/411.32

⚠ CAUTION — Insufficient Inlet Pressure Due To Clogged Filter In The Suction Line. Damage to the pump!

Record the differential pressure across the filter

Is the differential pressure within the acceptable range?

Inspect the filter for any damage after cleaning

Is the filter reinstalled correctly?

Wear safety clothing and a protective mask, if required.

Have all legal regulations on the disposal of fluids posing a health hazard been observed?

Collect and properly dispose of flushing medium and any residues of the fluid handled.

Use connection 6B to drain the fluid handled

Pump Flushing and Neutralization

Flush the pump set through with appropriate medium.
