Back Pull-Out Unit Removal
WARNING — Back Pull-Out Unit Tipping Over. Risk of crushing hands and feet!
Suspend or support the bearing bracket at the pump end
Suspend or support bearing bracket 330 to prevent it from tipping over, if required
Unbolt support foot 183 from the baseplate
Undo hexagon nut 920.01 at the volute casing
Remove the back pull-out unit from its seat in the volute casing using forcing screws
Pull the back pull-out unit completely out of the volute casing
Remove and dispose of joint ring 400.10
Place the back pull-out unit on a clean and level surface
Shaft Seal Removal
Pre-removal Checks
Ensure notes and steps from Section 7.4.1 to Section 7.4.5 have been observed/carried out.
Verify the back pull-out unit is placed in a clean and level assembly area.
Mechanical Seal Removal
Remove the rotating assembly of the mechanical seal (primary ring) from shaft sleeve 523.
Undo nuts 920.15 at casing cover 161, if present.
Select casing cover variant
Remove the stationary assembly of the mechanical seal (mating ring) from casing cover 161.
Pull shaft sleeve 523 off shaft 210.
Pump Cleaning
Drainage and Cleaning
Use connection 6B to drain the fluid handled
Flush the pump if it has been used for handling hazardous fluids
Flush and clean the pump before transporting it to the workshop
Provide a cleaning record for the pump
Safety and Disposal
Collect and properly dispose of flushing fluid and any residues of the fluid handled
Wear safety clothing and a protective mask, if required
Observe all legal regulations on the disposal of fluids posing a health hazard
15000 Hourly / 2 Yearly Rolling Element Bearing Grease Replacement
Preparation
Ensure the pump is dismantled for grease changing
Are the operating conditions unfavourable? (e.g. high temperature, humidity, dust)
Grease Removal and Cleaning
Remove the outer cover plate of each bearing with a suitable tool
Dispose of the cover plates
Is the old grease removed and the bearings rinsed thoroughly?
Grease Application
Select the shaft unit and apply the correct grease quantity
Initial Motor Mounting
Check applicability of steps 1 and 2 for spacer-type coupling
Shift the motor to connect it to the pump via the coupling
Fasten the motor to the baseplate
Align pump and motor
Connect the motor to the power supply
