Check if the clearances need to be checked

Measure the clearance between impeller and casing

Enter the measured clearance in mm

Ensure notes and steps from Section 7.4.1 to Section 7.4.5 have been observed/carried out.

Place the back pull-out unit in a clean and level assembly area.

Remove the rotating assembly of the mechanical seal (primary ring) from shaft sleeve 523.

Undo nuts 920.15 at casing cover 161, if present.

Remove the stationary assembly of the mechanical seal (mating ring) from casing cover 161.

Pull shaft sleeve 523 off shaft 210.

Ensure a suitable container for the used oil is on hand

Place the container underneath the screw plug

Undo the screw plug (2) at the bearing bracket (3) and drain the oil

Re-insert and re-tighten the screw plug (2) after draining

Use connection 6B to drain the fluid handled

Flush the pump if it has been used for handling noxious, explosive, hot or other hazardous fluids

Flush and clean the pump before transporting it to the workshop

Provide a cleaning record for the pump

Wear appropriate safety clothing and equipment

Collect and properly dispose of flushing fluid and any residues of the fluid handled

Observe all legal regulations on the disposal of fluids posing a health hazard

Inspect the flexible elements of the coupling

Check the coupling guard for deformation

Ensure plastic components are intact

Verify sufficient distance from rotating parts

⚠ DANGER: Excessive temperatures caused by friction, impact or frictional sparks - Explosion hazard! Fire hazard! Damage to the pump set!
