Gland Follower and Casing Cover Removal
Undo nuts 920.02 at the gland follower and loosen gland follower 452
Undo nuts 920.15 at casing cover 161
Casing cover removal method
Packing and Ring Removal
Remove gland follower 452 from casing cover 161 and remove the packing
Remove stuffing box ring 454
Remove packing rings 461 and lantern ring 458, if any
Motor Removal
Note on pump sets with spacer-type couplings
Warning: Motor Tipping Over
Suspend or support the motor
Disconnect the motor from the power supply
Unbolt the motor from the baseplate
Shift the motor to separate it from the pump
Bearings Dismantling
Verify notes and steps from Section 7.4.1 to Section 7.4.6 have been observed/carried out
Place the bearing bracket in a clean and level assembly area
Undo the grub screw in the coupling hub
Pull the coupling hub off shaft 210 with a special puller
Remove key 940.02
Remove thrower 507.01
Remove pump-end bearing cover 360.01 and drive-end bearing cover 360.02
Remove hexagon head bolts 901.01 and 901.02 as well as gaskets 400.01 and 400.02
Press shaft 210 out of the shaft seat
Back Pull-Out Unit Removal
Safety Precautions
Suspend or support the bearing bracket at the pump end to prevent tipping over
Back Pull-Out Unit Removal Steps
Is the bearing bracket 330 suspended or supported to prevent tipping over?
Unbolt support foot 183 from the baseplate
Undo hexagon nut 920.01 at the volute casing
Select the type of forcing screws used to remove the back pull-out unit
Remove the back pull-out unit completely out of the volute casing
Remove and dispose of joint ring 400.10
Pump Set Removal
Safety Precautions
Ensure only qualified personnel perform work on the pump set.
Allow the pump set to cool down to ambient temperature.
Use suitable transport devices and lifting equipment for heavy components.
Preparation
Properly shut down the pump set.
Close the shut-off elements in suction and discharge line.
Drain the pump and release the pump pressure.
Close any auxiliary connections.
