Wear heat-resistant protective gloves

Remove flammable substances from the danger zone

Select lubrication model for bearing assembly

Heat deep-groove ball bearing 321.01/.02 in an oil bath to approx. 80°C (Oil-lubricated models only)

Slide deep-groove ball bearing 321.01/.02 onto shaft 210 until it will not go any further

Carefully slide pre-assembled shaft 210 with deep-groove ball bearing 321.01/.02 into bearing bracket 330

Ensure only qualified personnel perform work on the pump set.

Allow the pump set to cool down to ambient temperature.

Use suitable transport devices and lifting equipment for heavy components.

Properly shut down the pump set.

Close the shut-off elements in suction and discharge line.

Drain the pump and release the pump pressure.

Close any auxiliary connections.

Wear safety clothing and a protective mask, if required.

Have you observed all legal regulations on the disposal of fluids posing a health hazard?

Collect and properly dispose of flushing medium and any residues of the fluid handled.

Use connection 6B to drain the fluid handled

Have all residues been removed to prevent corrosion damage?

Is the pump set free from any residues that might ignite when coming into contact with oxygen?

Verify notes and steps from Section 7.4.1 to Section 7.4.4 have been observed/carried out

Ensure the back pull-out unit is kept in a clean and level assembly area

Undo impeller nut 922 (right-hand thread)

Remove impeller 230 with an impeller removal device

Place impeller 230 on a clean and level surface

Remove keys 940.01 from shaft 210

Remove and dispose of joint rings 411.31/411.32

CAUTION — Mixing Greases Of Differing Soap Bases

Adjust the re-lubrication intervals to the grease used

Pump dismantled for changing the grease

Half-fill the bearing cavities with grease

Fill the cavities in the bearing cover until they are about 1/3 full
