1 Daily Wheel Nut Check
Warning: If, for whatever reason, a wheel stud is renewed, all the studs for that wheel must be changed as a set, since the remaining studs may have been damaged
Check the Wheel Nut Torque
On new machines, and whenever a wheel has been removed, check the wheel nut torques every two hours until they stay correct
Every day, before starting work, check that the wheel nuts are tight
The correct torques are shown in the table below:
Front - Nm 680 / Ibf ft 500
Rear - Nm 680 / Ibf ft 500
Sign off on the wheel nut check
Loader Cleaning
Park the machine on firm level ground, engage the parking brake and set the transmission to neutral. Lower the attachments to the ground and stop the engine
Machine parked and prepared for cleaning?
Clean the machine using water and/or steam. Do not allow mud, debris etc to build upon the machine, pay particular attention to the following areas:
Backhoe hoses passing through mainframe cleaned?
Area around twin slew rams cleaned?
Twin ram slew recess in chassis (centremount) cleaned?
Kingpost slide rails (sideshift) cleaned?
Kingpost hose tray and bottom 'shelf' (sideshift) cleaned?
Recess between slew ram and kingpost casting (sideshift) cleaned?
3 Yearly Seat Belt Maintenance
WARNING! When a seat belt is fitted to your machine replace it with a new one if it is damaged, if the fabric is worn, or if the machine has been in an accident. Fit a new seat belt every three years
Inspect the seat belt for signs of fraying and stretching
Check that the stitching is not loose or damaged
Check that the buckle assembly is undamaged and works correctly
Check that the belt mounting bolts are undamaged, correctly fitted and tightened
Sign off on the seat belt maintenance
