100 Hourly / 6 Monthly Tires Inspection
Safety Precautions: Only trained personnel should perform this inspection.
Bumps or bulges in the side of the tire or the tread
Cuts, slits, or cracks in the tires
Nails or other foreign objects embedded in the side of the tire or tread
Excessive tread wear
Damage after hitting a pothole or other hard object
Measure the groove depth in the center of the tire
Tire tread depth at the center below 3/16 in (4 mm)

2 Yearly Gear Oil Change
Park your ATV on a firm, level surface.
Place an oil drain pan under the oil drain bolt.
Remove the oil fill cap, O-ring, drain bolt and sealing washer.
After the oil has completely drained, reinstall the drain bolt with a new sealing washer and tighten it to the specified torque: 9 lbf·ft (12 N·m, 1.2 kgf·m)
Remove the oil level check bolt and sealing washer.
Slowly fill the rear final gear with the recommended oil until oil start to flow out of the oil level check hole. Allow oil to settle for 2 – 3 minutes before moving to next step to prevent overfilling.
Coat a new O-ring with grease and install it into the fill cap groove and tighten it to the specified torque: 9 lbf·ft (12 N·m, 1.2 kgf·m)
Install the oil level check bolt with a new sealing washer and tighten it to the specified torque: 9 lbf·ft (12 N·m, 1.2 kgf·m)
Pour the drained oil into a suitable container and dispose of it in an approved manner.

Your ATV’s oil filter has very specific performance requirements. Use a new Honda Genuine oil filter specified for your model or a filter of equal quality.
NOTICE Using the wrong oil filter may result in leaks or engine damage.
This procedure requires mechanical skill and professional tools such as a torque wrench as well as a means for disposing of the drained fluid (page 226). If you do not have the skills or the tools, see your dealer.
Change the oil with the engine warm to assure complete and rapid draining.
Drain the Engine Oil:
1.With the ATV on level ground, remove the oil check lid (page 144) and the oil fill cap/dipstick from the front crankcase.
2.Place an oil drain pan under the crankcase and remove the engine oil drain bolt (1) and sealing washer (2).
