Fluid Level Inspection:
Is the fluid level low?
NOTICE: Brake fluid can damage plastic and painted surfaces. Handle with care. Wipe up spills immediately. Avoid brake fluid contact with skin or eyes.
Is the ATV on a level surface?
Enter the fluid level
Is the fluid level above the LOWER level mark (1)?
Are the brake pads worn?
Worn brake pads should be replaced. If the pads are not worn, have your brake system inspected for leaks.
Weight Limits Check
Tires are properly inflated
Cargo placed only on the front and rear racks
No passenger on the front or rear cargo racks
Trailer hitch used for towing
Cargo on rear rack placed as far forward as possible
Cargo on front rack does not interfere with handlebar movement
Cargo does not extend beyond the edges of the racks
All cargo is secured before riding
Cargo weight is balanced evenly on both sides
100 Hourly / 6 Monthly Utility ATV Maintenance
Should be serviced by your dealer, unless the owner has proper tools and service data and is mechanically qualified. Refer to the official Honda Service Manual (page 274).
- Engine idle speed: inspect and clean, adjust, lubricate, or replace, if necessary
- Cooling system: inspect and clean, adjust, lubricate, or replace, if necessary;
Utility ATV Cleaning
Frequent cleaning and polishing will keep your Honda looking newer longer.
Frequent cleaning also identifies you as an owner who values their ATV.
A clean ATV is also easier to inspect and service.

• To clean your ATV, you may use:
– water
– Hondabrite
– a mild, neutral detergent and water
– a mild spray and wipe cleaner/polisher
Exhaust Pipe and Muffler Maintenance
Warning: Ensure the exhaust pipe and muffler are cool before starting the procedure
Exhaust pipe and muffler stained by mud or dust?
If stained, follow the steps below

Was a wet sponge and a liquid kitchen abrasive used for cleaning?
