100 Hourly / 6 Monthly Clutch Adjustment

Make sure the engine is cool.

Make sure the ignition switch is OFF (w).

Remove the seat (page 133) and tank cover assembly (page 134).

Loosen the lock nut (1).

Check mark

Turn the clutch adjuster (2) counterclockwise until you feel slight resistance.

Check mark

Turn the adjuster 1/4 turn clockwise, then tighten the lock nut to hold the adjuster in this position.

After adjustment, start the engine and test ride your ATV to be sure the clutch is operating properly.

If the reserve tank is empty, or if coolant loss is excessive, check for leaks and see your dealer for repair

Radiator cap lid and reserve tank cap removed

Always add coolant to the reserve tank. Do not attempt to add coolant by removing the radiator cap

Unlatch the retainer clips

Remove the air cleaner housing cover

Check mark

Loosen the screw and remove the air cleaner assembly from the air cleaner housing

Remove the clamp

Check mark

Remove the air cleaner from the air cleaner body

Check mark

Wash the air cleaner in clean, non-flammable solvent such as kerosene

Check mark

Inspect for tears or cracks in the foam or seams of the air cleaner. Replace if damaged

Allow the air cleaner to dry thoroughly before applying oil
