Confirm bearing temperature is 71-80°C (160-175°F)

Fill the bearing housing to the center of the oil sight glass with the proper type oil

Ensure no detergent oils are used

Ensure all components are properly secured and installed

Verify installation and operational readiness

Store the pump in a clean, dry location away from vibration.

Leave flange covers in place to keep dirt and other foreign material out of pump casing.

Turn the pump shaft at regular intervals to prevent brinelling of the bearings and the seal faces from sticking.

Enter the number of pump shaft revolutions every three months.

Is the pump stored for up to 6 months?

Consult Flowserve for preservative actions if a longer storage period is needed.

Short Term Storage and Packaging

Ensure normal packaging is used for shipment and dry, indoor storage for up to six months.

Adjust gland packing for visible leakage and alignment

Check for leaks from gaskets and seals

Enter remaining hours before lubricant change is required

Is the duty condition within the safe operating range for the pump?
