Ensure all necessary equipment and materials are available

Prepare a 3% solution of the chosen acid

Back flush the oil cooler with the solution for 30 minutes

Rinse the heat exchanger with fresh water

Was the cleaning process successful?

Check oil analysis at 1000 hours of operation

Participate in a regular, periodic oil analysis program

Use only Frick filter elements to avoid warranty issues

Replace Filters at 10,000 hours of operation

Refer to the Oil Filter (OF-1) Main Single/Dual procedure for replacement steps

Ensure only Frick filter elements are used

Clean Oil Strainers at 10,000 hours of operation

Refer to the Strainer - Demand Oil Pump procedure for cleaning steps

Clean Liquid Strainers at 10,000 hours of operation

Maintenance Schedule / Vibration Analysis

Measure vibration levels on all bearings

Record any abnormal vibration levels

Is continuous vibration monitoring in place?

If vibration levels are abnormal, schedule more frequent checks

Is the start-up supervised by a Johnson Controls-Frick authorized representative?

Ensure prestart check is accomplished as per the FORMS section

Is there an adequate refrigerant load available for load testing?

Are the motor bearings rotated and lubricated according to manufacturer’s recommendations?

Enter the differential pressure between suction and discharge

Was the differential pressure of 55 PSI achieved within five minutes of start-up?
