How Enor Chile Modernized Its Maintenance Program With MaintainX and Indusolver

Enor Chile manages maintenance across critical energy infrastructure clients, including high-voltage substations, photovoltaic parks, wind farms, and thermal power plants.
As the company took on more facilities and assets, their manual methods of organizing maintenance started to create bigger risks: Teams largely relied on spreadsheets, so important details were often scattered. And there wasn’t a simple way to see the status of maintenance tasks in real time, track the history of equipment interventions, or consolidate reporting.
Enor Chile’s leadership wanted a more transparent, data-driven way to manage maintenance in the field, a goal that sparked their search for a new system.
Challenges
Risks to preventive maintenance completion
Without a centralized maintenance management platform, Enor Chile’s teams worked across separate systems, which made it complicated to see what tasks had been completed and what needed follow-up.
This increased the chances that issues could go unnoticed for too long, leading to unexpected failures and more reactive work.
Compliance and audit readiness
The team also needed a clearer record of maintenance activity to prove adherence to maintenance plans and equipment availability requirements.
Preparing for audits, whether for clients, internal processes, or ISO-aligned standards, required pulling together information from different sources. That made reporting slower and challenging to validate.
Barriers to maintenance program improvement
Manual processes made it difficult for Enor Chile to optimize its maintenance program over time. With limited visibility into performance, the team struggled to identify trends or use data to drive decisions.
Standardizing procedures across teams was also a challenge. When information lived in different places, workflows varied, so consistency was hard to maintain.
Why MaintainX
Practical for distributed teams
MaintainX stood out among several CMMS options because beyond its powerful features, it was practical for technicians.
The mobile experience was a winning factor. Enor Chile’s field teams needed a tool that was easy to use on-site, including in environments where connectivity was limited. MaintainX simplified the process of creating work orders and checklists on the go, while giving the team a clear view of what had been done, when, and by whom.
“The ease of use in the field was key for the technical teams to quickly adopt the tool,” explains Karol Saavedra, Enor Chile’s Head of Industrial Maintenance.
Quick implementation
The team was also looking for a platform they could implement without a long, complicated rollout. MaintainX, in partnership with Indusolver, stood out for its ease of deployment. The platform also offered flexibility for future integrations.
Results
A smooth transition
Enor Chile focused its MaintainX rollout on the assets and activities that would have the biggest impact on operations.
Indusolver played a critical role in making their transition to the platform successful. Beyond software implementation, the team brought practical industrial maintenance expertise to the process. They supported Enor Chile’s initial system configuration, helped them define asset structures and workflows, and guided them on digital maintenance best practices.
This guidance ensured the platform supported real operational needs from day one.
Improved visibility and standardization
One of the team’s primary goals for a new system was establishing transparent, repeatable processes. With Indusolver’s support, Enor Chile used MaintainX to digitize their preventive maintenance plans, standardize inspection routines, and centralize work orders.
Since technicians and supervisors now have immediate access to critical information, field data quality and completeness have improved by 30%. Teams can now see procedures, checklists, and asset history directly from their mobile devices while on site.
More efficient and accurate audit processes
The company has also seen a 40% increase in maintenance traceability. Each contract now has a clearer, more structured record of work performed, which has improved reporting to clients and made documentation much easier to audit.
Audit preparation time has dropped by 33%, especially for documentation tied to standards like ISO 55001 Asset Management.
As Esteban Aros, Enor Chile’s Head of Renewable Project Management, explains, “MaintainX allowed us to move from a system based on scattered records to digital maintenance management, with full traceability and greater control over our activities.”
Smarter planning
MaintainX also allows the team better visibility into maintenance activity, stronger control over preventive maintenance compliance, and a more reliable foundation for building KPIs over time.
“Today we have structured information that allows us to improve maintenance planning and make data-driven decisions,” says Esteban.
Looking ahead
Enor Chile plans to expand MaintainX across more assets and processes.
They’re also looking to improve spare parts planning and management, and advance their predictive maintenance strategy. Future integrations under evaluation include SCADA platforms for asset monitoring and Power BI for maintenance analysis.
Ultimately, the goal is to keep building an efficient maintenance program that’s powered by real operational data.
