Summer’s heating up—and so is MaintainX CoPilot.
Whether you’re working under the sun or under the hood, our latest updates to the AI assistant will help you troubleshoot, repair, and document work faster.
Let’s take a look at what these enhancements mean for maintenance and operations teams.
Diagnose issues faster using photos
Instead of flipping through manuals or calling for backup, technicians can now simply take a photo of an asset with their phone, and CoPilot will suggest recommended actions.
This helps teams respond faster—without relying on guesswork—when machines go offline.

Create new assets from a nameplate or spec sheet
Here’s another timesaver that helps you digitize your records. You can now snap a photo of an asset nameplate, or a spec sheet, and CoPilot will create the Asset record for you.
It works by extracting important metadata—like make, model, serial number, and technical specs—to pre-fill fields in MaintainX. And it means you can spend less time on data entry.

Summarize completed work to improve data quality
Work records are critical to your reliability program. But you want your technicians to turn wrenches—not spend time typing out what they did.
CoPilot makes it easier to keep clean, structured work records by creating automatic work order summaries. Your technicians can simply record a voice note explaining what they did, and CoPilot will turn it into a meaningful summary that makes it easier to capture and retrieve information.

More improvements driven by customer feedback
We also made several smaller improvements to help reduce friction and enhance collaboration.
Including:
- Sub-Work Order Filter. To make it easier to manage your Multi-Asset Work Orders, we added a new filter to the To-Do, Table and Calendar Views. You can find work records faster by seeing only Parent Work Orders, Sub- Work Orders, or neither.
- Work Orders by Type Export. You can now export your Work Orders by Type report as a PDF, making it easier to share the progress of your preventive maintenance program.
