Preparation
Ensure the following components are present
Adjusting Belt Tension
Loosen the four bolts holding the motor base to the channels
Adjust the belt by turning nuts 'A' (see detail 'B')
Apply a perpendicular force to one belt at the midpoint of the span using a belt tension checker
Determine the deflection distance from the normal position using a straight edge from sheave to sheave as a reference line
Select the fan type and motor horse power for belt deflection force
Is the belt tension within the recommended deflection force range?
Supply Air Drive Adjustment
SUPPLY AIR DRIVE ADJUSTMENT
Pre-Adjustment Checks
Review the installation for any errors, leaks, or undesirable system effects.
Verify if blower speed changes are necessary.
Blower Speed Adjustment
Enter the specified CFM.
Enter the measured CFM.
Enter the PD of the standard sheave.
Calculate the PD of the new sheave using the formula: (Specified CFM/Measured CFM) X PD of standard sheave.
