Chain Replacement
Warning: This procedure is for trained personnel only
Turntable removed
Four (4) bolts on the side of the drive box slackened
Tension adjuster bolt backed off
Chain link undone and replaced with a new one (#50 ANSI) of the appropriate length
Chain tension adjusted by turning the adjuster clockwise
Four (4) bolts on the drive box that secure the transmission tightened
Sign off on the chain replacement
Initial 1 Month Cam Followers Check
Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!
Is the oil bath filled with EP 80 gear oil?
If not, position the outer filler plug in line with the punch mark located on the main frame and remove the two 1/4\ pipe plugs with a 1/4\" Allen key."
Check the oil level with a dipstick.
The minimum level is 1-1/4\ and the maximum level is 1-7/8\"."
Did you replace the pipe plug after filling the oil baths?
Does the cam follower rotate smoothly?
If a cam follower fails to rotate smoothly, it must be replaced with a new one.
Sign off on the cam followers check
Analog Sensor Adjustment
Activate the Emergency Stop
Remove carriage top cover
Ensure that dancer bar is fully retracted to home position
Install or adjust cam with an angle of 60° approx
Adjust the sensor so it barely touches Cam
Tighten sensor lock bolt
At maximum dancer bar travel, make sure that sensor to cam gap is approx. 8mm (5/16\)"
If necessary repeat step 3, slightly modifying the angle to meet step 7 requirements
Make sure that minimum sensor to cam gap is not more than .005\ -. 010\""
Proximity Sensor Adjustment
Warning: Ensure the machine is powered off before starting the procedure.
Is the table jogged until the cam is aligned with the hole?
Enter the gap between the sensor and the cam (should be about 1/8 of an inch)
Are the two nuts (one on top of the bracket and one on the bottom) tightened?
Upload a photo of the adjusted sensor
Sign off on the sensor adjustment
3 Monthly Cam Followers Check
Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!
Is the outer filler plug in line with the punch mark?
If not, align the outer filler plug with the punch mark.
Were the two 1/4\ pipe plugs removed with a 1/4\" Allen key?"
Enter the oil level in inches
The minimum level is 1-1/4\ and the maximum level is 1-7/8\"."
