Ensure the pipettor is a Multichannel Model

Prepare soap solution for cleaning

Immerse or wipe components with cleaning solution

Rinse components with distilled water

Verify compatibility of decontaminant with materials

Remove the tip-ejector and ejector spacer

Choose decontamination method for components

Rinse components with distilled water

Wipe entire pipettor with decontamination solution

Wipe pipettor with distilled water

Keep both ejector locks depressed

Re-insert the tip-ejector vertically into the rails of the ejector support

Pull lightly on the tip-ejector to check the position

Place pipettors in the autoclave without using a bag

Set autoclave temperature to 121°C (252°F)

Set autoclave pressure to 1 atm

Set autoclave time for 20 minutes

Is the connecting nut fully tightened?

Tighten the connecting nut if it is not fully tightened
