Wear an anti-static wrist strap

Avoid any possibility of damage by static electricity

Remove screws to separate controller from base

Ease apart the two lugs at the side

Grip the instrument and withdraw it from its sleeve

Push in the replacement controller

Disconnect the furnace from the supply

Solid-state Relay Disconnection

Note how the wires are connected to the solid state relay

Disconnect the wires from the solid state relay

Remove the solid state relay from the base panel or aluminium plate

Is the power limit parameter OP.Hi accessible to the operator?

Verify that the power limit is not set higher than the design level.

Is the power limit set to zero for demonstration purposes?

Ensure the power limit is reset to its standard value if it was set to zero.

Check for any issues after adjustment

Disconnect the furnace from the supply

Note the thermocouple connections

Verify thermocouple color coding

Disconnect the thermocouple from its terminal block

Disconnect the furnace from the supply

Pull the chimney out of the top of the furnace

Make a note of the wiring connections

Unfasten the electrical connections to the inner chamber (brick-box)
