Slide the shims out one at a time off the counterweight hub and lower to the floor.
Shim Installation

500 Hourly Vibrating Aggregate Screen Oil Change
Oil Drainage
Remove the drain plug from both manifolds and drain oil into a container large enough to contain approximately 8 gallons of oil.
Elevate one side of the screen to facilitate drainage, if necessary.
Oil Refill
Install drain plugs.
Refill system with 7 gallons (26 L) of specified gear oil for your operating conditions.
Post-Refill Check
Run screen for 30 minutes.
Re-check oil level in both manifold sight windows and refill to full line if necessary.
1 Daily Vibrating Aggregate Screen Check
Wire Cloth Screen Inspection
Check wire weave for breaks, tears or separation of the wire.
Replace wire that exhibits any damage.
Operating Screen Observation
Observe operating screen for any panels with 'dead spots' where material is puddling.
Replace wire panels that no longer maintain tension over the complete surface area.
Screen Tension and Buffer Check
Check that screen is tight against all buffer and crown bars.
Check if rubber is missing, torn or worn through to the metal on crown bars.
1 Weekly Vibrating Aggregate Screen Maintenance
Vibrator and Sheave Inspection
Check vibrator oil for impurities (oil sample)
Check nuts and bolts for tightness or missing fasteners
Check decks for heavily worn hardware or worn cross members
Check that vibrating unit drive sheave is free of debris and tight on shaft bushing
Check that electric drive motor output sheave is tight on shaft
Structural and Frame Inspection
Inspect friction pucks. Replace if surface is worn below usable dimension
Check live frame for cracks or broken welds
Vibrating Frame Spring Replacement
Preparation
Lockout/Tagout power to screen as detailed in Chapter 1.
Remove the drive belt(s) from the electric motor(s) as detailed in Chapter 3.
Spring Removal
Remove the friction dampening puck from each base assembly by removing the access cover and pulling the spring and friction puck out of the base assembly.
Lift the screen several inches off the screen springs and base frame using a lift hoist and spreader frame of sufficient capacity for your model screen.
Block the screen up on blocking of sufficient capacity to support the screen.
Check the spring free height.
Is the spring free height less than 14.5 in. (36.3 cm)?
