HD Panel Support Frame Replacement
Preparation and Safety
Ensure cross bracing is provided if all support frames and drive units are removed.
Removal of Backplate and Discharge Lip
Support the backplate with a hoist and lift straps.
Remove the capscrews holding the backplate to the support frame.
Lower the backplate to the ground.
Support the discharge lip with straps and a hoist.
Remove the six capscrews and locknuts holding the discharge lip assembly.
Lower the discharge lip assembly to the ground.
Vibrating Aggregate Screen Cross Brace Replacement
Brace Removal
Clamp the brace being removed to the mounting tabs at both ends using a C-clamp.
Hold the hex nuts from below and remove all 3/4” capscrews holding the brace to the support frame.
Support the cross brace and remove the C-clamps from one end at a time while lowering the brace.
Brace Replacement
Select the type of brace to replace
Refer to Figure 8-55 to ensure correct brace pattern is followed.
Mount the new brace using 3/4” capscrews and toplock hex nuts.
Ensure all hex nuts are securely tightened.
500 Hourly Vibrating Aggregate Screen Oil Change
Oil Drainage
Remove the drain plug from both manifolds and drain oil into a container large enough to contain approximately 8 gallons of oil.
Elevate one side of the screen to facilitate drainage if necessary.
Install drain plugs and refill system with 7 gallons (26 L) of specified gear oil for your operating conditions.
Specify the gear oil used for refilling.
Run screen for 30 minutes and re-check oil level in both manifold sight windows.
Refill to full line if necessary.
Safety and Environmental Precautions
Ensure no solvents such as gasoline, diesel fuel or chlorinated solvents were used to flush bearings.
1 Weekly Vibrating Aggregate Screen Maintenance
Vibrator and Sheave Inspection
Check vibrator oil for impurities (oil sample)
Check nuts and bolts for tightness or missing fasteners
Check decks for heavily worn hardware or worn cross members
Check that vibrating unit drive sheave is free of debris and tight on shaft bushing
Check that electric drive motor output sheave is tight on shaft
Component Inspection
Inspect friction pucks for wear
Check live frame for cracks or broken welds

Oil Level Check
Check oil level at both sight gauges
Is the oil level low?
Add additional oil through the oil manifold breather pipe if needed
Daily Start-Up
Check oil level at petcocks on each side of vibrating unit
Add oil as needed
Inspect breathers for clogs and clean or replace if necessary
Check for oil leakage at bearings, shaft seals, and casing plugs
