Initial 8 Hours Vibrating Aggregate Screen Check
Pre-Start-Up Checks
Check oil level in each oil manifold sight gauge before starting the screen
Is the gear oil level adequate according to Table 6-1?
Post 8 Hours Operation Checks
Check oil level in each oil manifold sight gauge after 8 hours of operation
Is the gear oil level adequate after 8 hours of operation?
Labyrinth Seal Greasing
Was grease visible at the seal plate/vibrating shaft junction behind the counterweight?
Wipe off excess grease if excessive grease is evident or being flung on the counterweights
Wire Support Frame Replacement
Preparation
Ensure cross bracing is provided if all support frames and drive unit/shaft casings are removed.
Determine sequence of wire support frame removal based on screen model and drive unit/shaft casing status.
Removal of Existing Wire Support Frame
Remove all cross braces from the bottom side of the screen frame.
Support the back plate with a hoist and lift straps, then remove capscrews and lower the back plate to the ground.
Support the discharge lip with straps and a hoist, remove capscrews and locknuts, then lower the discharge lip assembly to the ground.
Support the wire frame from above with lift straps at all four corners attached to a hoist.
Cut the huck bolts holding the wire frame to the vibrating frame side walls at the four corners and temporarily replace them with bolts, nuts, and washers.
1500 Hourly / 6 Monthly Bearing Housing Breather Maintenance
Breather Assembly Removal
Remove the breather assembly from the top of the bearing housing by unthreading the complete assembly at the threaded bushing.
Breather Assembly Cleaning
Separate the breather cover from the mounting bushing by unscrewing the cover from the bushing.
Clean the assembly with solvent.
Blow dry the assembly with compressed air.
Breather Replacement Check
Were all blockages removed with cleaning?
Replace the breather with a new unit if blockages cannot be removed.

Vibrator and Sheave Inspection
Check vibrator oil for impurities (oil sample)
Check nuts and bolts for tightness or missing fasteners
Check decks for heavily worn hardware or worn cross members
Check that vibrating unit drive sheave is free of debris and tight on shaft bushing
Check that electric drive motor output sheave is tight on shaft
Component Inspection
Inspect friction pucks for wear
Check live frame for cracks or broken welds
1 Daily Vibrating Aggregate Screen Check
Wire Cloth Screen Inspection
Check wire weave for breaks, tears or separation of the wire.
Replace wire that exhibits any damage.
Operating Screen Observation
Are there any panels with 'dead spots' where material is puddling?
Replace wire panels that no longer maintain tension over the complete surface area.
Screen Tension and Buffer Check
Check that screen is tight against all buffer and crown bars.
Replace rubber if missing, torn or worn through to the metal on crown bars.
