Initial 90 Day / 250 Hours Hydraulic Reservoir Maintenance

Hydraulic fluid changed?
Screen and magnet cleaned?
Filter screen and suction tube removed?
Filter screen and magnet cleaned with a suitable solvent?
Filter screen and tube inspected for damage?
Pump end of the suction tube lubricated with hydraulic fluid?
Suction tube inserted into the pump housing?
Hydraulic reservoir installed?
180 Daily or 500 Hourly Maintenance
Check the weight stamped on the battery in the pallet truck against the minimum and maximum allowable weights on the spec tag for the pallet truck.
Inspect all battery connectors and leads for damage and cuts in protective coatings.
Make sure the battery gates are in position and not damaged.
Measure the battery's free play in any direction.
During normal operation, with a rated load and traveling at top speed, the pallet truck should stop within approximately one and one-half truck lengths.
If oil is present, disassemble brake and clean the mating surface and pads.
Check brake gap, replace brake pad if the pad gap exceeds 0.015 in.
Removal
Turn the truck OFF and disconnect the battery connector.
Initial 90 Day / 250 Hours Drive Unit Maintenance
Warning: Use extreme care whenever the truck is jacked up. Keep hands and feet clear from vehicle while jacking the truck.
Break mounting bolts free and reapply thread-locking compound (P/N 990-463). Re-torque mounting cap screws to 30 ft. lb. (41 Nm).
Change fluid.
Lower the forks. Turn the truck OFF. Disconnect the battery connector. Remove the tractor cover.
Jack the truck and block the frame.
Remove the drive unit fill plug (Figure 7-21) and drain plug (Figure 7-22). Permit the gear oil to drain.
Remove the traction motor.
Remove the twelve socket head cap screws that secure the drive unit (thru the steering bearing) to the tractor frame.
Secure hoisting straps to the drive unit. Remove the drive unit using a hoist with at least one-ton capacity.
360 Daily or 2000 Hourly Maintenance

Filter Screen and Suction Tube
