WARNING: An ungrounded or poorly grounded workpiece, hanger, or conveyor can cause electrical arcing. If arcing is observed, shut down the system immediately. Correct the cause before resuming operations. Failure to observe this warning could result in a fire or explosion, causing property damage and possible personal injury or death

All workpieces are grounded through the hangers and conveyor

Resistance between the workpieces and the hangers

Resistance between the hangers and ground

Resistance checked with a megohm meter

Transfer efficiency and workpiece coverage at 500 ohms or less

Sign off on the daily workpiece and conveyor grounds maintenance

Disassemble the pumps and clean the venturi throats and nozzles

Replace any worn or damaged parts

Blow out the feed hoses with compressed air

Replace damaged or clogged hoses

If the screen was damaged, replace it

Were any parts damaged or worn?

If any parts were damaged or worn, replace them

Sign off on the daily sieve maintenance

NOTE: To remove impact-fused powder, perform the initial canopy conditioning procedure on page 5-1

Two clean buckets filled with water

2−3 drops of mild dish washing detergent added into one of the buckets

Hand sponge or a sponge mop soaked and wrung out in the soap bucket

Entire inside of the canopy wiped down with the sponge, frequently wringing out the sponge in the rinse bucket and then re-soaping the sponge in the soap bucket

Buckets emptied, rinsed, and steps 1−3 repeated for a total of two wash cycles

Buckets emptied, rinsed, and filled with clean water. Entire inside of the canopy rinsed, frequently wringing out the sponge in the rinse buckets

Step 5 repeated two times, for a total of three rinse cycles. Canopy allowed to completely dry before resuming spray operations

NOTE: It is important that the canopy is not touched by bare hands. Skin oils and other contaminants will affect the ability of the canopy to shed powder during blowoff. Operators should wear cotton gloves when working with the canopy

Disconnect the transfer hoses from the pumps

Blow out the powder from the hoses with compressed air

Remove the transfer pumps from the adapters

Blow out the adapters and pickup tubes

Clean the parts with a low-pressure air gun and a clean cloth

Replace any worn or damaged parts

Sign off on the daily bulk feed transfer pump maintenance
