Motor Removal

Suspend or support the motor to prevent it from tipping over
Ensure energy supply is disconnected
Undo hexagon socket head cap screws 914.01
Remove coupling guard 681
Undo hexagon socket head cap screws 914.01 again
Take off coupling 862 with pin 560
Unscrew and remove hexagon head bolts 901.02 or 901.04 and washer 554.02 or 554.04
Lift the motor off the pump

Remove retaining bracket 89-11.03

Mechanical Seal, Coupling And Pump Shaft Adjustment
Pre-adjustment Notes
Use suitable tools for setting the pump shaft
Consult KSB if necessary
For motors ≥ 11 kW: Is the rotor locked before adjusting the coupling?
Movitec B Adjustment
Ensure the motor has been mounted on the pump (Refer to Section 7.5.3 Page 43)
Ensure coupling 862 has been fastened with pin 560 and screws 914.01
Lower the coupling 862 to its lowest position, then raise it by 1.5 mm
Verify that no clearances remain between the coupling halves
Pump Maintenance
Safety Precautions
Wear safety clothing and a protective mask, if required.
Observe all legal regulations on the disposal of fluids posing a health hazard.
Fluid Handling and Disposal
Collect and properly dispose of flushing fluid and any residues of the fluid handled.
Has the pump set been neutralised if it handled corrosive or flammable fluids?
Blow anhydrous inert gas through the pump to ensure drying if necessary.
Pump Draining
Ensure the pump is not in operation before draining.

Undo nuts 920.03 and lift off the drive lantern
Remove mechanical seal 433 and O-rings 412.01
Easy Access Seal Removal
Ensure the motor has been removed (Refer to Section 7.4.3 Page 38)
Undo hexagon socket head cap screws 914.03
Remove O-ring 412.06
Remove the mechanical seal 433 using tool 969
