CAUTION — Mixing Greases Of Differing Soap Bases

Adjust the re-lubrication intervals to the grease used

Half-fill the bearing cavities with grease

Fill the cavities in the bearing cover until they are about 1/3 full

DANGER — Excessive Temperatures As A Result Of Bearings Running Hot Or Defective Bearing Seals. Explosion hazard! Fire hazard! Damage to the pump set!

Regularly check the condition of the lubricant.

Verify oil change interval based on temperature

Ensure oil quality meets specifications

Select the correct oil quantity for the model

Is the clearance G, D, E within permissible limits?

Is the clearance C, V within permissible limits?

Fit new casing wear ring if necessary

Wear safety clothing and a protective mask, if required

Ensure a suitable container for the used oil is on hand

Place the container underneath the screw plug

Undo the screw plug at the bearing bracket and drain the oil

Re-insert and re-tighten the screw plug after draining

Collect and dispose of any lubricants

Observe all legal regulations on the disposal of fluids posing a health hazard

Check for unfavourable operating conditions

Is early inspection required due to unfavourable conditions?

Bearing Inspection and Maintenance

Inspect bearings for wear and tear

Do the bearings require cleaning and relubrication?

Relubricate the bearings if required
