Washer Fluid Inspection

Notice: If the washer is used when the washer tank is empty, the motor attached to the washer tank may be damaged.

Pre-Inspection

Remove the floor mat

Inspection and Refill

Inspect the fluid level of washer tank (1)

Is the washer fluid level lower than (L)?

Remove the cap and supply the washer fluid for automobiles

Post-Inspection

Put the floor mat back to its original position

500 Hourly / 6 Monthly Swing Bearing Mounting Bolt Check

Notice: Use a torque wrench when tightening the bolts of the swing bearing.

Check that bolts (1) and (2), which tighten the swing bearing, are not loose.

If bolts are loose, remove bolts (1) and (2), apply the recommended thread locking agent (Loctite #262 or equivalent), and tighten them.

Remove bolts (1) and (2).

Apply the recommended thread locking agent (Loctite #262 or equivalent).

Tighten bolts diagonally positioned alternately using a torque wrench.

50 Hourly Battery Maintenance

Safety Precautions

Read and understand 'SAFETY PRECAUTIONS' of the manual before starting maintenance.

Wear protective glasses, long-sleeve shirt, and gloves.

Ensure no fire is near the battery to prevent explosion.

Stop the engine before performing inspection and maintenance.

Confirm battery power-off switch is set to OFF position.

Remove ground side (negative terminal) first when removing battery terminal.

Do not place tools on the battery protective cover.

Wait 5 minutes after turning starter switch to OFF before turning battery power-off switch to OFF.

Bucket Gap Adjustment Mechanism Inspection

CAUTION: Safety Precautions

Pull up the pilot control shut-off lever to the 'LOCKED' position and stop the engine.

Ensure the bucket is placed in a stable condition as shown in the figure.

O-ring and Bucket Positioning

Move O-ring (1) from the specified position to the bucket boss.

Swing the upper structure right very slightly to press the tip of the arm to the right of the bucket lightly (the side without the gap adjustment system).

Move the pilot control shut-off lever to the 'LOCKED' position, and then stop the engine.

Gap Measurement and Adjustment

Measure gap (A) between the bucket and the arm boss.
