Racor Pre-Filter Maintenance
Preparation
Ensure fuel supply type is identified
Fuel Supply from the Base Tank
Remove T-handle and lid from the top of the unit
Screw T-handle into centre tube finger tight
Fill the assembly with clean fuel to just above the top of the element
Lubricate the lid gasket and T-handle O-ring with clean fuel
Replace the lid, seat the gasket correctly, and tighten the T-handle
Operate the priming switch for 2 minutes (if fitted)

Inspect the condition of the alternator winding
Clean the alternator winding
Cable Connections Inspection
Inspect the cable connections between the alternator and the circuit breaker
Consult local Dealer for further guidance
1 Monthly Fuel Tank Drain Maintenance
Drain the fuel tank
Select the method used to drain the fuel tank
Drain the water and sediment from the fuel tank
Dispose of the water properly
Dual wall tanks maintenance
Drain the outer bund area by hand pump through the rear access socket
Dispose of any removed fluid properly
DEF Manifold Filter Maintenance
Pre-Maintenance Safety and Preparation
Ensure the engine is stopped before any servicing or repair is performed
Prepare containers to collect Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) during inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair
Ensure the area around the DEF manifold is free from contamination before any servicing or repair is performed
Fluid Disposal
Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates
Filter Removal and Replacement
Note the location of clamp (2) and ensure it is between the marked location (A)
Loosen clamp (2) and remove outer filter (3) from DEF tank header (1) and discard outer filter (3)
Pre-Start Inspection
Visual Inspection
Perform a visual walk-around inspection of the generator set
Check for loose fastenings, worn belts, or loose connections
Ensure fan and exhaust guards are correctly positioned and securely fixed
Cleaning and Leak Inspection
Wipe clean all filler caps before servicing or topping up fluids
Is there any type of leak (coolant, lubricating oil, or fuel)?
Describe the leak and corrective actions taken
Remove accumulated grease and oil from the engine
