Ensure the pump is turned off and isolated from the power source

Wear suitable personal protective equipment

Is the pump used for liquids that harden or crystallize?

Wash the pump before taking it out of operation if used for hardening or crystallizing liquids

Use washing cycles normally used for the plant

Specify the washing liquid used

Did the pump generate the required discharge head rapidly?

Repeat the priming operations if the required discharge head was not achieved.

Discharge Head and Capacity Check

Is the delivery gate valve opened more than necessary?

Throttle the discharge if the valve is opened more than necessary to achieve required head and capacity.

Is the discharge head greater than required?

Consider reducing the impeller diameter if the discharge head is greater than required.

Is the discharge head lower than required?

Clean the dismantled nut before assembling (internal threads)

Select the cleaning method for the nut

Select the sterilization method for the cap nut

Ensure chlorine solutions are not used to avoid corrosion of stainless steel

Ensure the pump is turned off and isolated from the power supply

Gather necessary tools and replacement bearings

Remove the pump casing to access the bearings

Extract the old bearings from the pump shaft

Install the new bearings onto the pump shaft

Ensure personal protective equipment is worn

Verify that washing liquids are compatible with the process liquid and the pump

Run the pump with washing fluids compatible with the pumped fluid and the pump itself

Ensure the pump is washed before taking it out of operation when using liquids that harden or crystallize

Check the durability of the seal and the pump

Fill in the Declaration of Decontamination if the pump needs to be sent to C.S.F. Inox for maintenance/repair work
