Use a Browning Belt Tension Checker

Record the belt tension measurement

Is the belt tension within the specified range?

Is there any indication of loose belts (e.g., barking or squealing when the blower starts)?

Adjust the belt tension if necessary

Remove the bonnet screws, valve bonnet, bonnet gasket, core/diaphragm subassembly and body gasket

Lubricate the bonnet gasket and body gasket with Dow Corning® 200 Fluid lubricant or equivalent

Apply RemGrit TFL 50® Dry Lubricant to valve seat, valve body surface, and internal surface of valve bonnet

Lubricate with RemGrit TFL 50® Dry Lubricant if not installing Rebuild Kit

!WARNING: Turn the disconnect switch off when performing service or maintenance functions.

Verify motor size and lubrication requirement

Is the grease bearing quality and compatible with lithium bases thickener?

Lubricate the blower bearings if required

Turn off the heater before servicing the filters

Remove the filters from the filter section

Handle the filters carefully to prevent debris from being dislodged into the heater

Are the filters permanent type?

Clean filters using a stream of water or soap and water

Turn off the electrical power to the valve

Close the upstream manual gas valve

Avoid any type of sparking or ignition

Vent hazardous or combustible fumes to a safe area

Is the voltage to the coil correct?
