Close the upstream manual gas valve

Avoid any type of sparking or ignition

Vent hazardous or combustible fumes to a safe area

Check if the voltage to the coil is correct

Remove the filters from the rainhood or filter section

Handle filters carefully to prevent debris dislodging

Clean using a stream of water or soap and water

Monthly and Quarterly Maintenance

Inspect sump pump and water level

Adjust float valve if necessary

Inspect for water carryover and leaks

Inspect air flow to ensure no outside air is bypassing media pads

Turn the heater disconnect switch off

Close the manual gas supply shut-off valve

Loosen the union in the gas train

Handle the igniter with care to avoid breakage

Disconnect the ignition cable from the burner

Remove the flame rod and the igniter

Enter the amount of grease to be applied (in grams)

Apply the grease to the motor bearings

Is there any excess grease leakage?

Clean any excess grease from the motor bearings
