Remove distribution header and clean out distribution holes that supply water flow to media pads

Inspect all wire connections for discolored and/or burned wires. Replace where necessary

Inspect media pads and replace per manufacturer’s recommendations

Follow ‘Initial Start Up’ procedures

Turn the heater disconnect switch off

Close the manual gas supply shut-off valve

Loosen the union in the gas train

Handle the igniter with care to avoid breakage

Disconnect the ignition cable from the burner

Remove the flame rod and the igniter

Monthly and Quarterly Maintenance

Inspect sump pump and water level

Adjust float valve if necessary

Inspect for water carryover and leaks

Inspect air flow ensuring no outside air is bypassing media pads

Is the grease bearing quality and compatible with lithium bases thickener?

Was the lubrication process completed successfully?

Close the upstream manual gas valve

Avoid any type of sparking or ignition

Vent hazardous or combustible fumes to a safe area

Check if the voltage to the coil is correct
