From Plant Floor to Boardroom: Live Workshop
Every work order tells a bigger story than it looks like. This interactive workshop traces that story end-to-end — from a technician closing a ticket, to the plant manager's uptime numbers, to the margin line the CFO reports on. You'll leave with a clear, defensible way to connect your team's daily maintenance work to the business outcomes your leadership is already measuring.
What We’ll Cover
The workshop will cover the following three skill areas:
1. Presentation and Discussion
Led by Chris Newbury, MaintainX Value Consultant
- How maintenance work ripples across the organization — from technician to plant manager to VP Ops to the C-suite
- The four-level value chain: how MTTR and PM compliance on the shop floor connect to OEE and WO backlog for plant managers, to throughput and reliability for VP Ops, and ultimately to margin retention and asset ROI for the CFO
- Reactive vs. proactive maintenance, told from five points of view — CFO, COO, Plant Manager, Maintenance Manager, and Technician — and what changes for each when maintenance shifts from firefighting to a managed operation
- Where uncontrolled reactive maintenance actually erodes margin: emergency labor premiums, expedited parts costs, cascading failures, and lost production revenue
- A look at the CMMS value chain used to model business impact: from operational focus areas up through cost and revenue levers to corporate financial performance
2. Working Sessions
Four facilitator-led sessions, ~10 minutes each, built around real cost drivers:
- Asset Downtime — connect unscheduled downtime to corporate-level impact
- Labor Efficiency — connect efficiency gains on the floor to the business case
- Inventory — connect inventory optimization to cost and cash impact
- Capex Deferral — connect asset repair/replace decisions to capital planning
In each session, you'll map your own impact story end-to-end, practice telling it in language your leadership responds to, and leave with a proposed 6–12 month plan for your organization. What's your biggest operational pain point?
3. Q&A + Group Discussion
Close out by sharing what you learned with the group and getting your remaining questions answered live.
