As summer kicks into gear, maintenance teams are preparing for seasonal shifts—like production ramps, mid-year audits, or planned shutdowns.
That’s why our latest updates are designed to help your teams become more efficient and resilient.
The release of four modern Asset Management tools was our highlight of May. It includes several new solutions that make it easier to manage work orders, parts inventory, and asset depreciation within MaintainX.
Read on to learn more about this—and other small improvements we made in the past month.
Drive efficiency with modern asset management
Multi-Asset Work Orders
When you’re doing work in batches—like inspecting a bunch of fire extinguishers—tracking it as individual tasks can slow you down.
Multi-Asset Work Orders solves this.
On the Premium plan, you can now:
- Link multiple assets to a single work order
- Apply shared procedures across multiple assets at once
- Track time, labor, and results per asset in a unified workflow

This is especially powerful for high-volume, line-based environments looking to scale without sacrificing accuracy or speed.
Multi-Location Parts
Many facilities store the same parts across multiple locations, but it can be hard for teams to see what’s available everywhere.
With Multi-Location Parts, on the MaintainX Enterprise plan, you can now:
- Track parts across multiple storage areas
- Eliminate redundant or duplicative parts records and streamline parts reordering
- See total inventory and set reorder thresholds for each location

Customers that use this feature have already seen reduced inventory costs, fewer rush orders, and faster repairs.
Work Order Approvals
Sometimes you need a second pair of eyes to validate that work was performed correctly, for safety or compliance reasons.
Work Order Approvals, on our Enterprise plan, allows you to assign specific users or teams to review and complete critical steps.
You can now:
- Require approvals for specific procedures or entire work orders
- Capture step-level completions and timestamped sign-offs
- Align with industry regulations while boosting accountability

Straight-Line Depreciation
Managing depreciation manually, or outside your CMMS, can create blind spots when it comes to equipment maintenance and lifecycle planning.
Straight-Line Depreciation brings this visibility to MaintainX's Enterprise plan, helping you to track asset value over time and make smarter repair-or-replace decisions.
With this enhancement, you can:
- Automatically calculate and track annual depreciation
- Monitor an asset’s current book value over time
- Access quick snapshots or detailed reports when you need them

Improvements inspired by customer feedback
Like always, we made several smaller improvements to help reduce friction and enhance collaboration.
Including:
- Watch videos directly within your in-app Messages. Instead of having to download video files to your device to watch them, you can now watch them in the flow of your conversation.
- Get more control over your Automations. You can now override the next trigger value for your Automations when using the “increased by” operator. This allows you to push scheduled work back accordingly when unexpected repairs are done in between your usual intervals.
