Ensure the following tools are available

Twist off the propeller plug and the O-ring

Loosen the hub screw using an M12 hexagon bit adapter (part no 84 14 79), n=10

Remove the shaft key by handling it by its ends

Remove the inspection screw (marked INSP)

Remove the screw inside to access the stator housing

Inspect the stator housing for any visible damage or wear

Check for any signs of corrosion or rust

Ensure all parts are securely in place

Reattach the inspection screw (marked INSP)

Disconnect and lock out power before servicing

Inspection and Replacement Tasks

Is the media (liquid) temperature below 40°C (104°F)?

Ensure all replaced components are properly installed

Was the area cleaned after the overhaul?

Disconnect and lock out power before servicing

Ensure only certified electricians and Xylem-authorized mechanics perform maintenance on EN/ATEX or FM-approved mixers

Verify the following requirements are met

Conduct a check-up by an authorized Xylem service representative

Document findings and determine intervals for periodical inspection and major overhaul

Check the stator housing for any leakage, and drain if necessary.

Check mechanical seals and O-rings and replace any damaged seals with new ones.

CLS (not for Ex-approved mixers)

Check the oil housing for any leakage.

Check mechanical seals and O-rings and replace any damaged seals with new ones.

Check the coolant level (mixer with cooling jacket).

Check the connections and the electrical motor.
