Disconnect and lock out power before servicing

Is the mixer EN/ATEX or FM-approved?

If EN/ATEX or FM-approved, ensure only certified electricians and Xylem-authorized mechanics perform maintenance

Ensure the following requirements are met

Perform general inspection of the mixer

Control and replace wear parts as necessary

Lay the mixer on two supports or suspend the mixer horizontally from an overhead crane.

Place a vessel under the mixer to hold the oil being drained.

Enter the volume of oil drained (in liters).

Remove the drain plug and the filling plug to facilitate draining.

Re-position the O-ring and the drain plug after draining.

Tighten the drain plug to the specified torque (Nm).

Select the mixer working position for oil quantity

Check if the outer jacket of the cable is damaged and replace if necessary.

Ensure cables do not have any sharp bends and are not pinched.

Check that the connections to power are properly tightened.

Ensure electrical cabinets are clean and dry.

Measure resistance between earth (ground) and phase lead using a megger (max 1000 V).

Conduct a phase-to-phase resistance check.

Ensure the junction box is clean and dry.

Check the stator housing for any leakage, and drain if necessary.

Check mechanical seals and O-rings and replace any damaged seals with new ones.

CLS (not for Ex-approved mixers)

Check the oil housing for any leakage.

Check mechanical seals and O-rings and replace any damaged seals with new ones.

Check the coolant level (mixer with cooling jacket).

Check the connections and the electrical motor.

Verify power is disconnected to prevent unexpected startup

Remove the inspection screw (marked INSP)

Remove the screw inside to access the stator housing
