Third Handle Functional Check
Setup and Power Supply
Connect the main unit as a power supply
Provide nominal voltage (7.0 V RMS) to the third handle assembly
Functional Check
Verify handle output matches the main unit output
Check resistors configuration
Rheostat and Coil Cord Inspection
Perform functional check of handle rheostat for smooth operation
Articulate coil cord and check for intermittent connections
Power Cord Replacement
Preparation
Disconnect wall transformer from mains before servicing.
Power Cord Removal
Unplug power cord from bottom of wall transformer unit.
Power Cord Installation
Ensure IEC connector accepts new plug; no disassembly required.

Clock Battery Replacement
Preparation
Refer to clock instructions in manual PN767036, pg. 5 & 6 for replacing clock battery and changing time.
Remove clock assembly from 767 and turn it over.
Disassembly
Remove three Phillips head screws using a #1 Phillips screwdriver.
Remove clock module from face-plate.
Did the set buttons come off during disassembly?
Battery Replacement
Replace the battery located on the underside of the clock module.
Cradle Assembly Replacement
Disconnect wall transformer from mains
Remove MH-Front following instructions in Section B-1
Note the position and orientation of the blue connectors on the emitter and detector
Remove the two blue connectors from the cradle sensors using needle nose pliers
Remove the cradle from the MH-Front
Pull at the cradle from the front with your fingers
Depress each tab of the cradle from the inside of the MH-Front with a flat blade screwdriver
Ensure the cradle is free to move out of the MH-Front
Align and install the replacement cradle
Circuit Board Replacement
Preparation
Disconnect wall transformer from mains before servicing
Wear ESD protection
Removal of Existing Components
Follow instructions in Section B-1, pg. 2 to remove MH-Front
Carefully unplug spade connectors of S1 wires from spade contacts of power switch using long nose pliers
Do not cut the wire tie; it is required to keep wires away from transformer body
Carefully unplug the two-pin connectors from the emitter and detector with long nose pliers
Lay the 767 on its back
