Clock Battery Replacement
Preparation
Refer to clock instructions in manual PN767036, pg. 5 & 6 for replacing clock battery and changing time.
Remove clock assembly from 767 and turn it over.
Disassembly
Remove three Phillips head screws using a #1 Phillips screwdriver.
Remove clock module from face-plate.
Did the set buttons come off during disassembly?
Battery Replacement
Replace the battery located on the underside of the clock module.
Power Cord Replacement
Preparation
Disconnect wall transformer from mains before servicing.
Power Cord Removal
Unplug power cord from bottom of wall transformer unit.
Power Cord Installation
Ensure IEC connector accepts new plug; no disassembly required.
Reference
Refer to 767 Wall Transformer Instructions PN767036.
Third Handle Maintenance
Disassembly
Remove four screws from the back of the unit using a Phillips #2 screwdriver
Position the 767 third handle assembly on its back and separate the MH-Front from the MH-Back
Disconnect the handle assembly Molex connector (brown 4-pin female) from the pins on the circuit board
Preparation for Replacement
Note colors of wires on plug of new handle assembly
Match wire colors with color coding printed on circuit board at the pins
Cradle Replacement
Follow instructions in Section E, pg. 6 & 7 to remove and replace cradle
Third Handle Functional Check
Setup and Power Supply
Use main unit as a power supply
Provide nominal voltage (7.0 V RMS) to third handle assembly
Functional Check
Check handle output consistency
Perform functional check of handle rheostat for smooth typical operation
Articulate coil cord and check for intermittent connections
Illuminated Switch Replacement
Disconnect wall transformer from mains before servicing
Remove MH-Front
Follow instructions in Section B-1 to remove MH-Front
Squeeze the plastic spring clips on the sides of the switch to force it out of the MH-Front
Align the lighted half of the switch rocker toward the cradles
Switch Replacement
Disconnect each wire from the old switch one by one and connect to the same terminal on the replacement switch
Press the switch into the MH-Front
Verify wiring conforms to Fig. 1.
