7.1 Installation / 7.1.3 Insulation

Verify the following conditions for outdoor installations and cooling/air-conditioning systems

Check that condensate drain openings are clear and unobstructed

Verify that insulation has not been applied beyond the motor separation joint

Close the check valve on the pressure side

Protect electrical parts from any escaping water

Carefully open the venting screw using a suitable tool

Is the necessary inlet pressure present at the suction side of the pump?

Carefully push back the motor shaft with a screwdriver several times

Wait for 15 to 30 seconds before screwing the venting screw back in

Screw the venting screw back in

9.1 Dismantling/installation of the motor

Read the chapters 'Dismantling/installation of the motor' and 'Decommissioning' before maintenance

Comply with safety instructions in chapters 2.6, 7, and 8

Close existing check valves on both sides of the pump

Allow the pump to cool to room temperature

Drain the isolated branch of the system

Drain the entire system if no check valves are fitted

Observe manufacturer's information and safety data sheets on possible additives

Comply with national regulations for accident prevention to avoid motor falling injuries

8.2 Rotation direction monitoring

Is the direction of rotation light green when the pump is briefly switched on?

If the direction of rotation is incorrect, has the pump been electrically isolated and two phases interchanged in the terminal box?

Restart the pump after interchanging the phases.

Does the motor's direction of rotation correspond to the direction of rotation arrow on the rating plate?

Check the type of output filter used

Measure the rate of voltage rise (du/dt)

Is the rate of voltage rise within the limit (du/dt < 500 V/μs)?

Are the voltage spikes within the limit (û < 650 V)?

Measure the minimum voltage at connection terminals (Umin)

Is the minimum voltage at connection terminals above 150 V?

Measure the minimum frequency at connection terminals (fmin)
