Pump Leak Check
7.1 Installation
Check for leaks after installation
Periodically verify all connections remain leak-free during operation
Ensure leakages of hazardous fluids are removed to prevent danger to persons or the environment
Rotation Direction Check
8.2 Rotation direction monitoring
Verify the following conditions for three-phase pumps
Briefly switch the pump on to check the direction of rotation
Is the direction of rotation correct (green light)?
Does the motor's direction of rotation correspond to the direction of rotation arrow on the rating plate?
If the direction of rotation is incorrect
Electrically isolate the pump
Interchange 2 phases in the terminal box
Restart the pump
Pump Startup Check
8 Commissioning
Check that the pump is installed and connected correctly
Ensure the sealing screw and flat gasket are in place
Prime the unit correctly
Verify that the pump rotor compartment is vented automatically
Confirm that the motor head, differential pressure screw, and flange connection/threaded pipe union are not removed for venting
Frequency Converter Check
7.2.3 Frequency converter operation
Verify the use of output filters
Measure the rate of voltage rise (du/dt)
Is the rate of voltage rise within compliance (du/dt < 500 V/μs)?
Measure the voltage spikes (û)
Are the voltage spikes within compliance (û < 650 V)?
Measure the minimum voltage at connection terminals (Umin)
Is the minimum voltage at connection terminals compliant (Umin ≥ 150 V)?
Measure the minimum frequency at connection terminals (fmin)
Motor Maintenance
9.1 Dismantling/installation of the motor
Read relevant chapters before maintenance
Comply with safety instructions
Close check valves on both sides of the pump
Allow pump to cool to room temperature
Drain the isolated branch of the system
Drain the entire system if no check valves are fitted
Observe manufacturer's information and safety data sheets on additives
Comply with national regulations for accident prevention
