7.1.3 Insulation of the pump in cooling/air-conditioning systems

Verify that the two half-shells of the thermal insulation are correctly fitted

Check that the guide pins are engaged in the opposite holes

For cooling/air-conditioning systems, verify that commercially-available diffusion-proof thermal insulation materials are used instead of the supplied shells

Check that the pump was installed and connected correctly

Ensure the sealing screw and flat gasket are in place

Verify that the pump rotor compartment is vented automatically

Confirm that dry running for short periods is acceptable

Ensure the motor head, differential pressure screw, and flange connection/threaded pipe union are not removed for venting

Check for leaks after installation

Periodically verify all connections remain leak-free during operation

Ensure leakages of hazardous fluids are removed to prevent danger to persons or the environment

8.2 Rotation direction monitoring

Verify the following conditions for 3~ (three-phase) pumps

Briefly switch the pump on to check the direction of rotation

Is the direction of rotation correct?

Ensure the motor's direction of rotation corresponds to the direction of rotation arrow on the rating plate

If the direction of rotation is incorrect

Interchange 2 phases in the terminal box

Ensure all poles of the power supply are disconnected before working on the pump

Wait for 5 minutes before commencing work on the module (applies only to 1~ systems)

Voltage and Connection Verification

Check that all connections (including potential-free contacts) are voltage-free

Verify that the current type and voltage of the mains connection correspond to the specifications on the rating plate

Connection and Protection Measures

Ensure the electrical connection is established via a fixed connection line with a connector device or an all-pole switch with a contact opening width of at least 3 mm

Verify mains-side fuse protection is 10 A, slow
