Motor Protection System Check
Motor Protection System Verification
Verify terminal box type and corresponding protection mechanism
Record the maximum current from the rating plate
Does the thermal tripping setting correspond to the maximum current?
Is the Wilo tripping unit SK 602(N)/SK 622(N) present?
Is the thermal winding contact (WSK) connected to a motor protection system?
Reset Procedures
Perform reset based on terminal box type
Pump Maintenance
8.1 Filling and Venting
Switch off the pump
Close the check valve on the pressure side
Protect electrical parts from any escaping water
Carefully open the venting screw using a suitable tool
Ensure the necessary inlet pressure is present at the suction side of the pump
Carefully push back the motor shaft with a screwdriver several times
Wait for 15 to 30 seconds before screwing the venting screw back in
Screw the venting screw back in
Electrical Connection Check
Pre-Work Safety Measures
Ensure all poles of the power supply are disconnected before working on the pump
Wait 5 minutes before commencing work on the module for 1~ systems to allow voltages to dissipate
Connection Verification
Verify all connections (including potential-free contacts) are voltage-free
Is the module/terminal box undamaged?
Does the current type and voltage of the mains connection correspond to the specifications on the rating plate?
Connection Requirements
Ensure electrical connection is via a fixed connection line with a connector device or an all-pole switch with a contact opening width of at least 3 mm
Thermal Insulation Shell Inspection
7.1.3 Insulation of the pump in cooling/air-conditioning systems
Verify the application of the insulation
Check if the two half-shells of the thermal insulation are correctly fitted and guide pins are engaged in the opposite holes
For cooling/air-conditioning systems, verify that commercially-available diffusion-proof thermal insulation materials are used instead of the supplied shells
Rotation Direction Check
8.2 Rotation direction monitoring
Verify the following conditions for three-phase pumps
Briefly switch the pump on to check the direction of rotation
Is the direction of rotation correct (green light on)?
Does the motor's direction of rotation correspond to the direction of rotation arrow on the rating plate?
If the direction of rotation is incorrect
Electrically isolate the pump
Interchange 2 phases in the terminal box
Restart the pump
