Disconnect all electric power, including remote disconnects, before servicing.

Follow proper lockout/tagout procedure to ensure the power cannot be inadvertently energized.

Ensure motor bearings are factory-lubricated for normal life.

Remove the shield opposite the rotor if the original bearing is to be relubricated.

Flush old grease from bearing with suitable solvent.

Check fan bearing grease line connections

Check bearing and motor bracket bolt torque and bearing setscrew torque

Tighten sheave set screws to the proper torque

Inspect coils for dirt build-up

Inspect the unit casing for corrosion

Clean and repaint the surface with rust-resistant primer and vinyl chlorinated lacquer if corrosion is found

Clean the fan wheels and fan shaft

Check damper linkages, set screws, and blade adjustment

Clean the nylon damper rod bushings

Describe any evidence of standing water or condensate overflow

Disconnect all electrical power to the unit

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment

Scrape solid matter off of the drain pan

Vacuum the drain pan with a HEPA filter vacuum device

Water Coil Winterization Procedures

Drain water from the coil before the heating season

Flush the coil with glycol if exposed to temperatures below 35 degrees

Installation of Drains and Vents

Install field-fitted drains and vents for coils not in use

Check if draining is questionable due to dirt or scale deposits

Determine Coil Type for Proper Winterization

Enter the 'Service Model No of Coil' from the coil module nameplate

Identify coil type based on model number
