Acknowledge understanding of safety precautions regarding coil bursting risk

Disconnect all electrical power to the unit

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment

Use a soft brush to remove loose debris from both sides of the coil

Install a block-off to prevent spray from going through the coil

Mix a high-quality coil cleaning detergent with water according to the manufacturer’s instructions

Clean or replace air filters if clogged or dirty

Coat permanent filters with oil after cleaning

Enter the pressure drop across bag filters (in. wg)

Is the pressure drop across bag filters 1 in. wg or more?

Change bag filters if pressure drop is 1 in. wg or more

Is relubrication of fan bearings necessary?

Relubricate fan bearings if necessary

Inspect the unit casing for corrosion

Clean and repaint the surface with rust-resistant primer and vinyl chlorinated lacquer if corrosion is found

Clean the fan wheels and fan shaft

Check damper linkages, set screws, and blade adjustment

Clean the nylon damper rod bushings

Ensure all necessary tools and materials are available

Remove the vent and drain plugs

Blow the coil out as completely as possible with compressed air

Fill and drain the coil several times with full strength glycol

Drain the coil out as completely as possible

Ensure no water remains in the coil

Remove all vent and drain plugs

Allow the water to drain from the coil

Clean the tubes with a nylon or wire brush if fouled

Ensure no water remains in the coil
