Is the respirator warmed if stored or used at cold temperatures?

Is the respirator completely dry if used at cold temperatures after cleaning?

Wipe accumulated dirt from the exterior of the respirator using a damp sponge.

Clean the front of the remote gauge housing to ensure proper functioning of the light sensor.

Remove any 3M Scott Sight In-Mask Display (IMD) components prior to cleaning.

Select the cleaning supplies used for the facepiece

Inspect the complete respirator for worn or damaged components

Verify that the respirator has been properly cleaned

Verify attachment and routing of components

Verify that the shoulder harness assembly and waist pad are firmly attached to the backframe

Check harness sleeves and routing

Inspect the pressure reducer for damage

Verify that the pressure reducer is securely mounted to the quarter-turn mount on the backframe

Verify all lights illuminate for 20 seconds upon initialization.

Check cylinder pressure indicator lights

Did the end-of-service indicator alarm actuate?

Describe actions taken if end-of-service indicator alarm actuated

PASS Device and HUD Synchronization

Is the SCBA equipped with a PASS device?

Verify HUD lights flash in an alternating pattern when the distress alarm goes into pre-alarm mode.

Is the respirator cylinder at least 1/2 full?

If the cylinder is 1/3 full or less, did the Vibralert initiate?

Verify the following on the regulator

Reattach the regulator to the respirator (if removed for cleaning)

Slowly open the cylinder valve at least 1 full turn

Remove the dust cap from the RIC/UAC coupling on the respirator.

Visually inspect the coupling for dirt or damage.

Remove any dirt or contamination from the coupling.

Is the RIC/UAC coupling on the respirator damaged?
