Review the purge Installation, Operation, and Maintenance manual

List maintenance and/or inspection items identified from the manual

Describe any issues found in the purge pump-out data

Review overall operation of purge

Service the purge unit as necessary and describe actions taken

Enter the evaporator pressure reading

Enter the condenser pressure reading

Enter the oil tank pressure reading

Enter the differential oil pressure reading

Enter the discharge oil pressure reading

Are all pressure readings within the normal range as per general maintenance guidelines?

Is the oil level visible in the lower sight glass when the unit is operating?

Verify proper refrigerant and compressor oil for your chiller

Ensure no mixing of refrigerants or oils to prevent equipment damage

Record accumulated operation hours

Has it been 6 months or 1000 hours since last oil change?

Change the compressor oil and filter if 6 months or 1000 hours have passed

Use only Trane compressor oil for the oil change

Select the appropriate oil for your chiller

Perform the following checks on the motor

Check inlet guide vanes (IGV) for abnormalities

Control Parameters Verification

Sensor Testing and Installation

Test appropriate sensors for accuracy

Ensure sensors are properly seated in wells with thermopaste installed

Temperature and Pressure Checks

Check evaporator leaving water temperature low temperature cutout setpoint

Condenser high pressure switch check-out
